Civil engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches. It is the branch with a lot of diversity from environmental to hydraulics, geotechnical sciences to structural engineering, transportation to hydrology. The department of civil engineering has been established with the vision to give an exposure to budding civil technocrats to various challenges in the profession. The major laboratories of this department are concrete lab, structural lab, structural dynamics lab, surveying lab, highway and transportation engineering lab, hydro informatics lab, environmental engineering, lab and geology lab.

Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
