Expert Evidence and Its Relevance

Abstract:

Judges of Indian Courts are thoroughly well versed with the laws that are in force in the territories of India, which helps them with the just adjudication of both civil and criminal cases. However, sometimes the judges are ceased with certain issues which are beyond their areas of expertise for which the judges need to rely on the opinion of people who are especially skilled to deal with such issues. These especially skilled people or “experts” thus often play an important role in the adjudication of cases. The research paper aims to discuss the value and relevance of expert evidence in Indian Courts.
