Committee was constituted as per the UGC regulation?

The University has a well-defined selection procedure for its teaching / non-teaching staff members in compliance to the Act, Statutes of the University and other Regulatory Bodies from time to time. The University has adopted the Guidelines of UGC for recruiting teaching / non-teaching staff in the University vide it’s D.O.No. 1/14/2019(CPP-II) dated 26 November, 2020 in toto

After carefully assessing the teaching workload in each semester, faculty positions are advertised in leading National Dailies and other Digital Platforms. These faculty positions are also uploaded on the University website.

For faculty recruitment, selection committees are constituted as per UGC regulations / guidelines.

The detailed guidelines, a copy of the advertisement for faculty recruitment and that of one of the Selection Committee proceedings as per the recruitment of faculty is attached in Annexure - XVI.

Yes, the University follows a self-appraisal method to evaluate teachers on teaching, research, and work satisfaction in accordance with the Performance Based Annual Appraisal (PBAA) proforma proposed by the UGC. The process for analysing and using the self-appraisal of teachers involves several steps as follows:

Yes, the University is providing UGC pay-scales to regular / permanent faculty, which are as follows:

  1. Professor: 37400-67000 + Allowances.
  2. Associate Professor: 37400-67000 + Allowances
  3. Assistant Professor: 15600-391 00 + Allowances
The salary of both teaching and non-teaching staff of the University is credited in their Bank Accounts

10. Pay/ Remuneration provided to: -
Part-Time Faculty – As per UGC norms. Conveyance charges are paid extra.

11. Facilities for teaching staff (Please provide details about Residence, Rooms, Cubicals, Computers/Any other)

Interested faculty and other non-teaching employees are provided rent free Residence facility in the Campus with different amenities e.g; 24 hours electricity backup, RO water, security guard, mess facility, Wi-Fi, ATM etc.

All faculty members are provided desktop with internet facility and wi-fi accessibility. They are also allocated appropriate cubicles for sitting. Senior faculty are given designated rooms. Deans / Professors are also issued desktops as well as laptops with data cards.
