Introduction
PhD in Electrical Engineering is a research-based doctoral program. The degree generally involves researching new technologies in the fields of Electric Machines, Semiconductors and Diodes, Electric Circuits, etc. developing advanced research skills that prepares for a career in academia and other settings in which systematic and critical analytical skills are required.
A PhD in Electrical Engineering can lead to a variety of career opportunities i.e. education sector, electrical engineer consultants, executive financial advisors or chief electrical engineers etc.

Programme Eligibility
A candidate for admission to the degree of Ph.D. must have obtained the Masters Degree with at least 55% marks (CGPA 5.5 - 6 in a scale of 10) of any recognized University (50% for SC / ST /Physically and visually handicapped candidates).
