The University offers LL.M. - 1 year / 2-year degree Program (as per UGC guidelines) to the eligible students who are interested to pursue a post-graduate degree in Law. The main objective of the Program is to groom the students for acquiring in-depth and exhaustive theoretical and research knowledge that enables them to tackle complex problems in their respective specialized fields and thereby continue towards their objective of attaining excellence. The extensive Program provides enough flexibility in respect of lecture courses, project work, and seminar as well as research dissertation which is aimed to do research and develop requisite writing expression in their field of research.
The LLM - is a 1-year post-graduate degree that is to be awarded by the Faculty of Law of Jagan Nath University to candidates having completed well-defined post-graduate studies in the discipline of Law
The duration of the LL.M. Degree Course is one year, comprising of two semesters.
To be eligible for appearing in the Admission Test prescribed by the Jagan Nath University for the LL.M. 1 Year Degree Program, a candidate should have passed LL.B./B.A.LL.B./ B.B.A.LL.B. or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
To provide excellent education and guidance in thespecialized branches of Law at postgraduate and researchlevel.
Advancement and proliferation of legal knowledge inspecialized area.
To prepare trained manpower to carry out innovativeresearch for creating intellectual property through masterand doctoral programme.

The aforementioned Specialization shall be chosen by candidates, in the first semester. The three Compulsory papers/Foundation papers in the first semester are common for all the candidates pursuing LL.M. One Year Degree Programme.
Note: - An area of Specialization will be offered at the discretion of the University only if a sufficient number of students opt for that specialization and the required faculty in that specialization is available.
