ALUMNI MEET - Punarnava-2024
Jagannath University successfully organized the Alumni Meet 2024, named Punarnava-24, on 14th September 2024. The event commenced at 4:00 PM onwards and was a grand gathering of 110 alumni who returned to their alma mater to reconnect and celebrate their shared journey.
The evening began with Registration and Welcome of Alumni from 4:00 onwards, followed by the ceremonial Lamp Lighting and Sarasvati Vandana. This marked the formal start of the event, setting a traditional and auspicious tone for the evening.
Key Highlights of the Event:
D J Night was initiated for the alumnus where all of the students interacted with each other and their juniors. The night was followed by a dinner party. Total of 35 alumni attended the meet. The achievements of alumnus were recognized and celebrated during the meet.

Welcome Address by the Registrar :
The evening officially began with a warm welcome from the Registrar, Mr. Tanmay Patnayak, who expressed deep gratitude to the alumni for their ongoing support and active involvement in university matters. Prof. Vaishali Sharma, the President of the University, delivered an inspiring speech that offered insights into the university's latest developments and future initiatives. A key moment of the evening was the launch of the Alma Konnect – III Magazine, which featured a collection of alumni achievements, memories, and updates. The magazine serves as a bridge, keeping alumni informed and connected to the university’s evolving journey.Cultural Performances
The evening was further enlivened by vibrant cultural performances, including a graceful Solo Dance followed by a high-energy Group Dance. Vote of Thanks and Photo Session The formal proceedings concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Renu Bagoria, the Dean of Alumni, who expressed sincere appreciation to all who contributed to making the event a success.
This was followed by a photo session involving Alumni Cell members, Alumni Association members, and the attending alumni, capturing cherished memories of the day.DJ Party & Dinner
The evening ended on a lively note with a DJ Party and a grand dinner, where alumni had the chance to unwind, socialize, and rekindle old friendships. This segment allowed everyone to let loose and relive their youthful college days.
